My Fashion's Night Out Guide for NYC

Tomorrow night in NYC (and some other cities) is Fashion's Night Out, and there are tons of events going on all around the city.
Click here for the full schedule.

Here are the ones I am going to try to hit:

1. Surface to Air
This French import takes the androgynous chic of a boutique like Oak and spices it up with a dash of the "We're a shop, but we're also a creative consultancy" schtick of a storefront like Partners & Spade. In other words, it's cooler than a clothing store has any right to be. The first New York outpost opens on FNO with cocktails, gifts for early arrivals, and the screening of a Kid Cudi video directed by the company's CEO.
27 Mercer Street, 7pm.

2. Missoni for Target
The Bryant Park pop-up selling the hotly anticipated collaboration will remain open for two days after FNO, but expect all the good stuff to sell out fast. If you're excited about the collection, make this your first stop of the night, and get there as early as possible—there will be lines.
1095 Sixth Avenue, 6pm.

3. Piero Guidi
Sometimes known as "the Coach of Italy," this leather goods store carries brightly colored bags, some with a signature circus print. If the overall vibe is playful, though, the approach to the opening party is totally serious: The invitation seems to be approximately a centimeter thick.
430 West Broadway, 6pm.

4. Ricky's NYC
Enjoy free makeovers by Ricky's NYC's Elite Pro Beauty Team, along with complimentary manicures from Katy Perry's nail stylist, Patricia Yankee. Plus, the event is hosted by Ricky himself!
2387 Broadway, 6-10pm

5. JC Penney
Bring a fashion "miss" from your closet (which will be donated to a local NY charity) and get a gift card to turn into this season's must-have clothing, footwear or accessory item. Plus, get tips from experts that will help you avoid future fashion faux pas! And, while you're there, enter the "Miss for Must" sweepstakes to win a retail therapy session at jcpenney with a fashion stylist.
Manhattan Mall 33rd St and 6th Ave, 6-9pm

6. Via Spiga
Their event will include a gelato bar, as well as a set of three custom Essie nail polishes with purchase, and five chances to win a free pair of shoes.
487 Broadway bet. Broome & Grand Streets, 6-11pm

7. ASH Footwear
Where The Wild Things Are themed bash with a DJ, musical performances, and nail art by manicurist extraordinaire Tracy Lee.
44 Mercer, 6-10PM

For Brooklyn-based people unwilling to come into the city, Brokelyn has a roundup of Brooklyn events.
