Made by Survivors is a store that features products created by formerly enslaved or disadvantaged people. The purpose of the organization is to give survivors and high-risk people options of other industries to go into and ultimately end slavery through economic empowerment.
Fine, that's all well and good, but what are they making that you can buy?
These would also make great Mother's Day gifts!
My picks:
$10 each Spotted felt pouches (Nepal)
These would be great as change purses or to hold credit cards or business cards.
$15 Gypsy heritage earrings (Nepal)
Pretty turquoise and coral in intricate bead settings.
$20 each Beaded cuff bracelets (Nepal)
I like the solid silver one best, then you can see the cool bead patterns.
$25 Brass rupee earrings (India)
These would look very glam with a black dress.
$20 Cotton market bag (Cambodia)
Beautiful block printed fabric bags are way better than a plain tote.
9" x 12" x 3" with 16" handles.
